Drug treatment is sometimes a part of a criminal justice clients sentence for the crime they have committed. In order to get these clients the rehabilitation they need, there are a few steps that should be followed before they can enroll into a drug or alcohol rehabilitation center. First, they need to determine if they are eligible for drug rehabilitation during their time in the Rock View, West Virginia criminal justice system. Their case is evaluated by a panel who determines if they are in need of rehabilitation and if so how much and what type is needed. Furthermore, when they are screened for substance abuse problems, the client is also evaluated for mental health problems as well. Severity of addiction, mental health concerns, criminal activity, sentence length and previous substance abuse history are all determining factors in the creation of a criminal justice rehabilitation plan.
