Facts

  • The acetaminophen component in Lortab can on its own cause a fatal overdose. High doses of acetaminophen can cause liver damage, and dosages should never exceed 4000 mg a day. Acetaminophen is metabolized solely by the liver, so there is a risk of fatal overdose due to hepatotoxicity when Lortab is mixed with alcohol.
  • Salvia is a potent and legal drug that can easily be obtained in many stores across the U.S. which sell tobacco products.
  • Opana overdose will often result in the following symptoms: pinpoint pupils, stupor, difficult or slow breathing, slowed pulse, nausea, vomiting, constipation, flaccid muscles, low blood pressure, extreme fatigue, blue fingernails and lips, spasms of the stomach or intestinal tract, palpitations, coma, apnea, circulatory collapse, bradycardia, hypotension, cardiac arrest or death.
  • It can take as long as three days for the liver to recover and get back to normal functioning after a binge drinking episode.

DUI/DWI Offenders - Long Beach

Drinking and driving, or driving while under the influence are severe offenses not to be taken lightly. Although each state has its own way of handling DUI/DWI offenders, there are some generalities that can be expected. Depending on the level of the driver's intoxication and how stringent the state laws are, they may have to serve time in jail for their offense. Once this is completed they will most likely have further retribution to do in order to drive a vehicle again. Many states require the person to undergo counseling and/or therapy to aid in their recovery process. Typically these counseling sessions are held in a group setting by either an addiction recovery professional or a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. The state will define a set number of therapy hours that the DUI/DWI offender will need to attend.
