This makes learning about a life of sobriety and how to maintain lasting abstinence from drug or alcohol use the main focus of outpatient care. Typically, clients attend outpatient treatment after completing both detox and inpatient care at a different facility. They are looking to continue their sobriety by continued education and surrounding themselves with others who are sharing their same struggles.
