There are many ways to get part or all of your drug treatment paid for. For those who have military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE) you will need to contact your provider directly to see what you are eligible for. While both parts of TriCare (TriCare Standard and TriCare Extra) cover drug rehabilitation, only some VA benefits cover the expense of substance abuse treatment. Once you have spoken with your military insurance representative (e.g., VA, TRICARE) and fully understand what they will cover regarding substance abuse treatment you can begin researching drug treatment facilities. Be sure to speak to the billing department of the drug rehab to make sure that they take your military insurance (e.g., VA, TRICARE). You will want to have a full understanding of what your part (if any) of the cost of treatment will be before you enroll into the treatment program.
