This makes learning about a life of sobriety and how to maintain lasting abstinence from drug or alcohol use the primary focus of outpatient treatment. Typically, clients attend outpatient treatment after completing both detox and inpatient care at a different facility. While this type of treatment is less concentrated than inpatient care it is still a valuable tool in achieving additional support and sustaining sobriety.
